Currently Obsessing Over.....

Guy Bourdin a french photographer with a mysterious and creepy past.
He worked with Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, Chanel, Issey Miyake, Emanuel Ungaro, Pentax and Gianni Versace.
These pictures are so timeless and modern. They could hold there own amongst some of the crap that runs in magazines today. I definitely can see the similarities between his photography and the ads of Tom Ford, Miu Miu and Jimmy Choo.
I just adore the picture of the girl doing a table pose for Tony Manero in a garter belt no less!
Enjoy!

Meet my new bow's

Just found these @ Forever 21 for $2.80! Go get you some!

brrrrr it's cold!

It's here!!!! WINTER!!! Well sort of. The weather here in San Diego is so blah! One day its sunny the next it's cloudy and I always cross my fingers for rain but the mist that rolls in with the fog is usually all I get. So since I can't rely on the weather to put me in the holiday mood, I'll leave it up to Starbucks. I had my first gingerbread latte of the year today and now I can't stop humming Vince Guaraldi's, A Charlie Brown Christmas.
Check out these items I found in the holiday section of Anthropologie's website there definitely on my Christmas wish list along with a car that goes in reverse.
Cheers!

Pumpkin Soup

I can't believe it November already. I feel like October flew by so fast that I didn't have time to carve a jack o' lantern or hang cobb webs. Luckily my bicycle is full of spider webs and I was just given the perfect pumpkin. It's like October never left. So here it is my pumpkin/dinner. I've never made pumpkin soup before and I have to admit I'm sort of nervous but really this can't go wrong. Roast it, add some spices, pour some veggie stock in it, maybe some half and half and ta da I've got me some supper. Send me your reciepe if you have one!

Feliz Cumpleanos

Anna Wintour turns 60 today!

Collection 2 - Clearly Halloween Inspired

Before I start on one of my rants I really want to thank my portfolio teacher Mrs. Snell!
Thank you so much for being so patient with me, letting me ask you the same question 50 times until it stuck and for emailing you at ungodly hours of the day. Photo Shop apparently not the easiest design software to pick up. BUT I've managed and now I have this kickass portfolio I can use as bait to get me a radical fashion job!

Impressive, I know. :)

Max Update

So Halloween has come and gone and I still think I have a stomach ache from all the candy I ate.
I ended up going trick-or-treating with B, her dad and bunches and bundles of Golden Hill kiddies. It made me so happy to see her so excited about her own costume she literally howled for joy.

ZR Spring 2010 Show

So I realize it's taken me forever to post these pictures and I apologize!!!
But I've finally wrapped up my portfolio class and Halloween is behind us now so I've got all this time to blog my little heart out.

The Zandra Rhodes show was amazing to say the least! I love to say that she is like Betsy Johnson but more organic! And it's true! She's got this wacky off beat sense of style that blends so peacefully with her African inspired prints. My favorite piece by far were these pants she called "elephant pants." They were exaggerated bell bottoms made of fringed purple lame.

I think the most surprising thing I learned about her was how short she was, she reminded me of Edna from The Incredibles.
