Missing Friend

Has anyone seen my friend Kellen? I'm afraid he might have been eaten by a anaconda or hit by bus considering he's not returning my phone calls.
Well....just in case you do see him, would you tell him to call me please?

thanks!

Fargo Rock City the movie

Chuck Klosterman's book of memoirs is soon to be a film.
The Hold Steady’s Craig Finn and Letterman writer Tom Ruprecht have taken the challenge of creating the adaptation of Klosterman's New York Times Best Seller.

When did Taget become the new Barney's?

WWD daily has reported that next in line to design for Target is none other than Jean-Paul Gaultier! He will soon join the likes of Issac Mizrahi, Anna Sui, Alexander McQueen and Rodarte.
On second thought maybe I will open that Target card.

Treehouse of Horror XX

I must be on some lucky streak because I just got invited to the premiere of The Simpsons Treehouse of Horror XX episode and after party. Event takes place in Santa Monica this Sunday and promises appearances by the voices of Edna Krabappel, Moe and The Simpson family.

I look forward to meeting side show Bob!

P.S.
More photos to look forward to on Monday.

Zandra Rhodes @ the Westgate

Zandra Rhodes will be in town Wednesday, October 28th. Her show at the Westgate is bound to be loads of fun! Think Betsy Johnson but more organic. If you can swing skipping work and slinging out $75 for the event I'd say, "COME COME COME!" I'll be the girl back stage dressed in black with red lips, look for me!

The wait is over, finally!

Today, Warner Bros. unleashes Where the Wild Things Are!! Spike Jonze's adaptation of Maurice Sendak's kids' classic.
I've already bought my tickets and am going with B&C.
C made Max crowns out of construction paper that we will wear proudly.
Hmmmm should we get M&M's with or without peanuts?
Hey C, how does a drink at Nunu's sound? Maybe a white russian, dude?

Collection 1

Tadow how you like me now?
For those of you who don't know me personally and just stumbled on to this page, and I say stumbled because I know the only person who really reads my blog is my mom. "HI MOM, call you soon promise!" Anyway, a stranger the stumbler if you will wouldn't know that I'm taking a portfolio class in school.
Our first assignment was to create a collection and a mood board that showed our inspirations. This is what I've come with.
This past month has really inspired me and opened my eyes to different creative outlets.
I went with the horror theme and played with bats, franken girls, spooky fonts and creeper shoes. It's an homage to The Horrors show I missed at the end of last month.
DAMN all you hipster dirtbags that sold that show out!!
Enjoy!
I'm currently working on desinging a shoe collection, so you have that to look forward to.
Unitil next time.
xoxoxox

It's 45 degrees in Paris right now

And if you're lucky enough to catch the sunset the show begins at 7:01PM.

Rodarte for Target

It's Official!!! The 55-piece Rodarte line for Go International will launch at most Target stores nationwide and on target.com on Dec. 20, and will be available through Feb. 6. While it may be hard to imagine translating Rodarte’s hand-wrought designs for the mass market, Target claims to have stayed true to the spirit of the luxury-priced label.

This stuff is sure to fly out of store's! Can't wait to get my sticky fingers on those Johnny Depp as Willy Wonka inspired sunglasses and the that rib cage dress!!!

5 Reasons this dog is more radder than you

1. Because he's wearing an American Apparel Hoodie.

2. Because he has better weed than you.

3. Because he's probably a stunt double for a penguin.

4. Check out that Goatee!

5. Because he could probably beat YOU in a staring contest.

Fancy Footwork

Check out these mesh platforms designed by Add ImageChristopher Kane for Topshop!!
Let's see if I could afford these shoes I would would wear them to go see a french film, to sleep, to dinner, to the zoo, to go see my grandma and on a ferris wheel.

Where would you wear them?

The Max Records Project

This weekend I have plans to drive up to L.A. in search of some furs for my current project which would be ...... I have to let some anticipation build because this is BIG! I'm working on making a Max costume from Where the Wild Things Are for my girl B-town. This weekend we brainstormed, drew some sketches and went to Yardage Town in Chula Vista but the selection there was meager and minimal. Here are some pictures of our Adventures & Inspirations.

P.S.

Keep you posted on our progress

Louis Vuitton Shows Afros, Moccasins, and Williamsburg’s Favorite Furry Tails

According to WWD's Twitter page, "Grace Coddington whooped with delight at the first sight" of the Afros Marc Jacobs sent down the runway at Louis Vuitton's spring 2010 show this afternoon in Paris.

McQueen

The models came out, dressed in short, reptile-patterned, digitally printed dresses, their gangly legs sunk in grotesque shoes that looked like the armored heads of a fantastical breed of antediluvian sea monster. McQueen, according to an internal logic detailed in a press release, was casting an apocalyptic forecast of the future ecological meltdown of the world: Humankind is made up of creatures that evolved from the sea, and we may be heading back to an underwater future as the ice cap dissolves.

Hay, Baby!

Never mind the hay, Lagerfeld was on a roll. Digging into a theme can sometimes throw up some embarrassing puns, and the effort to be youthful has occasionally had off-beam results at Chanel. But with this collection, Lagerfeld's summing up of the season's tendencies—beige, ivory, and black; rough textures; transparencyan d lace—was spun into a collection so masterfully balanced between classicism and current fashion affairs that the whole thing felt delightfully sure-footed.

Prince and Rihanna were competing for attention in the front row; there was a surprise turn from Lily Allen, who rose out of the floor on a hoedown platform to belt out a saltily worded country number; and at the end, Freja Beha Erichsen, Lara Stone, and Lagerfeld's constant companion, Baptiste Giabiconi, were literally rolling around in the hay together. And yet, remarkably, the clothes never became a sideshow. In a season when celebrities, concepts, and a lot of forgettable mediocrity have got in the way of seeing why luxury fashion should merit the price, this was a Chanel triumph.

Sleepy Sunday

Check out today's adventures through my photographs. Found some great pieces of furniture and art work @ Klassik and Antiques on Kettner in Little Italy, that I'm currently drooling over.
